Economic Happiness Needs Your Inner Power
When your money shrinks, life conditions change and your happiness is threatened, who are your best supports?
Is it somebody or something else helping you through the bad times without you having to do anything; or do you realize that you will have to do most things yourself?
Of course it would be wonderful to have somebody else doing everything, however this is not something to count on when you are a grown up person! That solution belongs unfortunately to the blessings of childhood and dreaming yourself back to that part of your life does not solve the actual problems.
However realizing that you do need help is the first big step in the right direction. Then ask yourself if a solution is something coming from the outside you can count on or is it rather something coming from yourself and your inner power. Maybe even a mix.
Answering this question will give some constructive ideas.
There are so many people representing different institutions ready to “help” you for a high interest that easily can make your situation worse. Remember that whoever is ready to help by giving you money will also later be the most eager to want their money back if things don’t work out exactly the way they were stipulated. Businesses like banks are willing to give you an umbrella when it is sunny, but certainly not when it is raining.
There are lots of other businesses than banks out there giving credit with the principle “get now, pay later” and they are all trained very well to do their job. Just as well as the debt collectors you might be getting on your back later.
Financial institutions exist to make money, they are not there just to help you, no matter how friendly and nice they are.
The next group of helpers is the attorneys and the accountants, CPA’s. Your problems may need the professional help of an attorney; however if this is something you evaluate that you really don’t need, save a large chunk of money by just keeping it in mind if necessary.
The CPA is in my opinion your best possibility for professional help from outside. An accountant can cost a lot of money, so if you decide to use one be sure to prepare yourself right.
1: Do as much paperwork in advance as possible, to make your bill smaller and the accountants understanding f your problem better.
2: Be precise about your problem, you are not consulting a mind reader.
3: Write everything down, you can’t expect the accountant to remember every word you say. He does hopefully have experience and other clients.
4: Bring all necessary papers with you. You may think a letter from IRS means one thing, while the accountant knows something else.
The accountant will tell you in advance what he/she needs if you ask. So ask, also about the price and everything else you need to know before your consultation.
And notice that there are a couple of low price accounting companies everywhere – find them on the internet, call and have a small talk first to get a feel of whether this is a company you feel comfortable with.
Finally you are the one who can do the most if you really desire to get a better and happier economic life.
First and foremost being honest with yourself will bring you a long way.
The most important is to get totally clear on your economy. Ask yourself basic common sense questions like:
For what are you using your income?
How much does your basic life actually cost?
It is amazing the many people I have met who have no idea, what their basic living cost actually is. This is a number you need to have ready in your head.
Does your income cover the basic cost?
What about all the other costs?
Those you can easily categorize if you use a bankcard for your normal payments by looking at your account on the Internet.
Most banks have a program that lets you categorize all your purchases on the bankcard.
After all this you should have a good picture of the basis for your economic happiness, which is to know, how you actually use your money.
Use your inner power to preserve your happiness by having check on your basic economy.
Trust your common sense and make conscious choices.
You can’t buy gold at the price of led – if somebody tells you that, run as fast as you can! Remember: The world is full of “Frisbees”, but pretty empty of “Economic Freebees“.
