Senior Food For Loved Pets
Love and petpassion makes many seniors give up their own food for their pets.
Like this a passion for dogs and other pets can lead to many amazing business combinations . This one is special to my heart.
I am visiting in Los Angeles and walk around in Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills where I notice a woman reorganizing a lot of beautiful cookie gift tins. As I was waiting for a lunch appointment to arrive I could not resist grabbing one sample – and uhmm- that was so good I could not believe it.
The woman in front of me turned out to be Bebe Flynn, the woman who actually makes these gorgeous cookies.
Bebe told me she was a long time volunteer at Meals on Wheels and to her astonishment found out that 80% of the homebound seniors with pets often feed their pets with the food before themselves.
Being a dog owner myself I know from experience how important it is for especially elderly dog owners to be able to keep their pets. They make especially elderly who are much alone feel alive, loved and safe and give that extra purpose in life that makes you feel happy.
Bebe named a company after her own dog “Miss Lilly” and this company gives a portion of the proceeds of the gift tins to provide seniors, who get food from Meal on Wheels in LosAngeles, with food for their pets.
A very good cause these holiday days and you can also grab some of those gift tins at www.misslillystradingcompany.com and ship a little happiness to both a family member and a friend and at the same time help seniors and their pets.
