We All Want To Unlock Good Intentions To Successful Decisions
However most importantly the next step to unlock good intentions to successful decisions and follow up with action is often forgotten.
To follow up with action seems to be the most difficult. So in other words the good intentions mostly stand alone.
Small Daily Situations Are a Great Practice
When I am a little tired, I like to relax in front of the TV. For instance to watch a relaxing movie or TV-series. Preferably something funny, definitely not ten gruesome murders in 5 minutes and not any political propaganda hidden in the series or movie.
My intentions are good but successful decisions and action may not stand up to the TV programs.
So do I follow my good intentions by turning off the TV and maybe put on some nice music instead of?
Or do I give in to the TV programming that is not in accordance with my intentions?
My actions will show if I give up on my intentions or follow up.
But most importantly, do we do the same in more serious matters like relationships, family matters, keeping up with interests, not to speak of job.
Do we give in to whatever might stop our momentum or do we follow our intentions with successful decisions and action?
Know Your Intentions
First it is necessary to know your intentions, what are they exactly, where do you want to go with them. You can’t decide anything properly until you are clear on that.
A daily decision for example is what you want to eat for dinner. You think maybe “I don’t know”. But if you think a little more you might know that you want something light, meat/no meat, a salad, a specific vegetable and so on.
That is already intentions and close to a specific decision. From there it can be easy to take action.
Further, follow the same procedure with other daily decisions.
Being clear on your intentions also means that they are specific, that you are conscious of the details, like in the dinner example. That secures that your decisions are specific and are easy to execute.
So start practicing with smaller good intentions, clarify them, make successful decisions and take action.
This can make your life so much easier and help you become a super decision maker.
